THIS WEEKEND
Treasures’ Mass for Families with members with disabilities this Sunday, January 8th at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. This is a sensory friendly Mass for those families who have a member with a disability and going to Mass is challenging. The lights are dimmed, music is softer, the readings are shorter and geared toward young children (Children’s Lectionary is used), and the homily is simple and brief. All are welcome!
PARISH WIDE UPCOMING EVENTS
Seasons of Hope is a Christ-centered support group that meets for six consecutive weeks. Any parishioner who is mourning the loss of a loved one is encouraged to attend and bring a guest. Registration fee is $20 to cover cost of Seasons of Hope journal and program materials. Please bring a bible. Pre-registration is encouraged before the first session.

Monday evening session starts January 9, 2023 at 6:30 pm.
Yesterday’s Kids will meet on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 12 PM in Hennessy Hall. It will be a potluck lunch. Please bring an entree, salad or dessert to share. All “kids” 55+ are welcome to join us in social, fun and games. New members are welcome.
You are invited by our Pastor, Fr. Teilo Lwande, AJ, to a meeting with ministry leaders and volunteers on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 6:00pm, that will formalize the “WAY FORWARD” as a parish.
The meeting will update you on parish life and the current Policies and procedures at St Andrew.

• Programs and Ministries

The Knights of Columbus will be holding their Annual Youth Basketball competition on Sunday January 15,2023 in the Courtyard at St Andrews from 8 am till 1 pm. This competition is open to all Boys & Girls of the parish ages 9 – 14.
Winners will then compete in the District Competition in late February and a chance to attend the State event the frst of March. Certifcates will be given to all those who compete...See You There.

Sunday January 15th will be our Monthly Pancake Breakfast. The profits from this Breakfast will be going to the: Funeral Ministry
Our Menu include’s:
• Buttermilk and Blueberry Pancakes
• Scrambled Eggs and Breakfast Burritos
• Bacon, Sausage and Biscuits and Gravy
• Fresh Fruit – Assorted Juice – Cofee
If you haven’t been to one of our breakfast do so on Sunday. Your Donation to a Knights Charity is your only cost.
The Silver Belles ministry is for active Grandmothers, Singles and Married and mature women. Our motto is Focus on Friendship and Faith. Our purpose is social......service.....support.
Women in this category face many challenges like divorce, illness, and death of a spouse, children moving far away, various illness and dependence on good friends and neighbors. With such a mobile population we need some good friends around us.

All high school teens (9th-12th Grade) are invited to join us on this incredible retreat where we will boldly put on the lens of Christ and see how God enables us to bravely step out into the unknown. Rain or shine, clear skies or thunderstorms, He is there, helping us to weather the storms of life and live authentically. This retreat will meet your teen where they are at, whether they are just starting high school or getting ready to step out into the "real world", they will be reignited in faith and equipped with the tools needed to engage in the day to day.

Parking Lot Lighting
Now that it is getting dark earlier, we’ve have heard from some of you that our parking lot lighting is not bright enough. We currently have the brightest lightbulbs available for our fxtures. In order to install brighter light-bulbs, we will need to update our original fxtures. We take your safety very seriously and would like to ask for your help in updating our parking lot lighting. The retroftting cost will be approximately $8,000. We would appreciate any donation that would help us get the retroftting done as soon as possible.
If you would like to help, donations can be me through Faith Direct, Parking Lot Lighting project or simply drop of a check payable to St. Andrew the Apostle with Parking Lot Lighting notation. Thank you for your generosity!
Our reopening of the Parish Nursery has been postponed as we are finalizing details, but we are so excited and thankful for those who have step forward to make reopening possible. Stay tuned for when we announce the dates for the nursery's official reopening.
