THE EUCHARIST HEALS AND TRANSFORMS LIVES
Since we opened our parish fully to its normal evangelization activities, a lot of exciting things have been happening. Our Religious education classes are up and running with our kids enthusiastically soaking in what their Catechist have to offer them. It is clear they have missed their classes and Catechists. The life-teen and EDGE too are back as well as the newly initiated Young Adult (YAWAY) giving ever brighter hope for the future of our parish and our Church.
In spite of the uncertainties and fear brought about by the pandemic this past year, the void that has been create in our hearts is slowly but steadily being filled by the presence of our Lord who we encounter daily in the Eucharist.
Yes, dear friends, the Eucharist continues to create the community we all need to thrive as we come to join our fellow parishioners daily or on weekends for Mass in person. Over the last several months, I have been very elated to see the joy and enthusiasm of many of you as you came to worship and thereafter get together for donuts and coffee, for our Knights-sponsored pancake breakfast and also for the Pasta with Pastor sponsored by our parish council, this past month. This community builders will continue and you will always be informed about them. The most immediate one to which I would like to invite all of you (especially those of you reading about this in the Friday Flash and Saturday) is this month’ Pastor with Pastor this Saturday September 25, after the 5 pm evening Mass. Please, come and know your priests and have fun with them! Apart from the donuts and pancake breakfast, the next big event to keep in mind is our Parish Fall Festival on October 31. You will hear details of this as we get closer.
However, even as we continue to enjoy this exciting growth, I would like to remind you that we can only sustain our parish if we remain financially supportive of its programs and activities. As you may recall from my State of the Parish Address, our parish has now very close to 4,000 families but only about 1,000 families sustain and support it. Just to give you an idea, allow me to give you a comparative update of our finances for the month of August as compared to last year.

As you can see, despite our frugality in our expenditures, we still are not fully meeting our budgeted goals. I therefore continue to invite you if you are not supporting your parish at all to consider begin doing so keeping in mind that whatever you give generously to God through your church will be repaid one hundred times over. Try it!
St. Andrew, I love you!
