BRIEF HEADS-UP OF WHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR DIOCESE AND PARISH
As I have been consistently pointing out the last couple of months, a lot of very positive and uplifting things are constantly unfolding in our Church. The biggest news of this is that beginning July 1, 2021, bishop Olmsted has lifted the dispensation from Sunday obligation. Given the current status of the pandemic and the availability of the vaccine, bishop believes that it is now time for the Church to take a safe and appropriate measure forward in our approach to Mass and the Eucharist.
Please refer HERE to the details of this letter.
Here at our parish, the whole of today we shall be having an opportunity for adoration. Even if you have not signed up for a slot, just show up. The day of adoration on this Friday will be concluded with an hour of Jammies and Jesus which will involve our young children under seven years spending time with Jesus and participate in saying the Rosary in a manner appropriate to them in the Church. We shall continue with more adoration on Saturday after the morning Mass but in the adoration Chapel. Please do not miss this precious moment with the Lord.
Then, from June14 through June 17, we shall have our VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS) from 9.00am to 12.00pm.
We are so excited you have trusted us to journey with you and your family in Faith Formation! Please read all of the information below so you make the correct selections during registration.

ABOUT THE EVENT:
The theme of Vacation Bible School - VBS2021 is "MASS & FUN". The program will allow children from the upcoming grades 1 - 5 to learn more about the Catholic Mass in a welcoming atmosphere that is both safe and engaging. The entire event will revolve around the order of the Mass to help teach the children about the importance of their faith as well as their awareness of such during Mass. https://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/the-mass/order-of-mass - Introductory Rite

Finally, as you might have already noticed, we have just finished upgrading our sound system in the Church, that is why you have noticed a much better sound quality during Mass. We have also finished making a major repair on the roof of our social Hall. Note that next, on July 5-6, all our pews will be removed from our Church for refurbishment offsite. During that week, weekday Masses will be held in the social hall. More details on this will be communicated at the appropriate time. Meanwhile, as God continues to bless us, please, be healthy, be smart and be holy.
St. Andrew, I love you!
