JOURNEY TOWARDS HOLINESS OPENS NEW DOORS TO MORE JOURNEY
Dear Friends,
On the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of our Mother Mary, we officially closed our Journey Towards Holiness Campaign with a wonderful Advent Mission facilitated by the renowned speaker and author of several books, Mark Hart. Defying all the odds brought about by the pandemic, I am happy to share with you that our mission was a great success. Over the two nights, we were able to reach 795 people online and welcome over 150 in person in our Church! I am so grateful for your participation in this important parish-wide event.
Also, during the thirty day journey towards holiness, many of you have shared that you were able to improve on some areas of your spiritual life like becoming more patient with others, more intentional in your prayers, more kind to others and less judgmental in attitude. Even though the actual campaign has come to an end, I urge you to continue cultivating these values in your daily lives because our journey towards holiness will not end until we are joined with our Heavenly Father who has called all of us to be holy as He Himself is holy. For those of you who participated in the activities of this thirty-day campaign, I request you to please take the survey posted on our Friday flash on this link if you have not yet done so:
As the title of this article indicates, the end of the journey towards Holiness campaign opens doors to more journeys. The most immediate one of this is our journey towards Bethlehem. In two weeks time, we shall be celebrating the birth of our Savior. This is a joyous moment for which we should prepare our hearts and minds to receive our Lord. Let these remaining days therefore, be an occasion for you to audit your life anew and make improvements where needed. The culmination of these preparations will be in the solemn celebration of the Eucharist on the birth of our savior. In order to accommodate all of us safely and conveniently amidst the surge in the pandemic, we have considered having five Masses on the eve of Christmas and two on Christmas Day itself as follows:
Christmas Eve, we have Masses at:
• 1.00pm
• 4.00pm both in courtyard and in the hall (this will also be live-streamed)
• 6.30 pm
• 8.30pm
• Midnight
Christmas Day
• 8.00am
• 10.00am (also live-streamed)
As we journey towards Bethlehem, the next journey will be towards the Cross and the Resurrection. More on this as we get closer, in the meantime, I wish you all a fruitful preparation and a Merry Christmas!
